2015
Concerts
Saturday 28th November saw our first christmas sing of 2015 at Capesthorne Hall, near Congleton.
We sang as part of the annual Christmas festivities at the Hall, and it included 4 'sets' of half an hour, with a half hour break in between, giving the choir the chance to visit the craft fair and various food and drink stalls.
Singing at one of our favourite locations, the choir were very well recieved and all enjoyed the first of many carols during the festive period.
This was the fifth year we had been invited to sing. Here's to many more to come!

It was
Alison's last concert at Hartford on 7th July, 2015.

In September, 2009, Alison became the Musical Director of the newly formed Bostock Singers. The Bostock Singers evolved from an evening class "Music for Pleasure", which Alison started in 2005. Singing is still a pleasure, largely thanks to her cheerful character and expert leadership. Every Tuesday evening, Alison comes straight from teaching A level students to us! She always remains cheerful, imaginative and enthusiastic.

We were very sorry to hear that she was leaving us, but we hope she thinks that we have improved slightly over the past 10 years and that we will continue to grow under our new Musical Director, Nicola Howbrigg. We will all miss Alison but will always be delighted to see her at future friends and family concerts, and perhaps the odd Tuesday rehearsal!

The program for the evening is below:

Down to the River to Pray
Somewhere out There
Angels

Singing in the Rain
Somewhere over the Rainbow
Something inside so strong
Ave Verum
The Hallelujah Chorus
Eidelweiss
The Circle of Life
The Sound of Silence
Richard Rodgers
Run
Come What May

An extra rendition of "My Funny Alison" ending procedings.
It was quite an emotional evening, one which the choir and audience enjoyed.
Please click here for a piece fron the Northwich Guardian.
We'll all miss you Ali.

We were
singing on Tuesday, June 30th 2015 at Kingsley Community Centre.
The choir were in good voice, despite the tremendous heat

The running order was as below, interspersed with pieces from students of Sir John Dean's College.

Refreshments were served during the interval, and many of the audience and choir alike went out side to cool off in the breeze and enjoy the last of the days sun.

We sang
at Lach Dennis Village Hall on Sunday 25th January after an OAP luncheon.

The concert was well received, although because if a timings mix up, we ended up singing during the meal, so some of the applause was a little stifled during the concert, but they made up for it in the end.
Alison with Peter and Shirley
We were singing at the Hartford St John's Victorian Christmas on Saturday, 5th December 2015

Due to the windy and rainy weather, the market was moved inside, and the choir sang on the stairs just inside the main entrance where we entertained people coming and going. We sang for two 'sets' of 45 minutes with a break of 45 minutes in between. The acoustics on the stairway were superb, and the choir were in full voice with Christmas carols and songs.
Tuesday 15th December - Hartford church.
15th December 2015 saw our annual friends and family Christmas concert. The Church was packed to bursting, with many of the audience standing at the back and sides. They were entertained with a superb concert featuring songs and carols from the Bostock Singers and the children’s choir from the Winsford Education Partnership Junior Choir. This was followed by tea and mince pies!
Both choirs received some very complimentary comments on their performances, and that of our new musical director Nicola Howbrigg, who is also musical director for the children’s choir. Click here for video highlights

Saturday, 12th December 2015 - Anderton Boat Lift
The full choir were carolling on 12th December 2015 at the Anderton Boat Lift. Again, because of the inclement weather, we sang in the visitor centre; two sets of 45 minutes each, with a break for tea and mince pies provided by the visitors centre. The weather also put off a lot of the visitors, but those that were there appreciated the singing, especially ‘Jingle Bells’

Friday 11th December 2015 - Great Warford
A group from the choir joined in a 'Carols on the Green' service outside the Great Warford Baptist Chapel on Friday, 11th December. The group sang some Christmas songs as well as carols with the congregation. This was the second year a group had attended. The evening ended with hot dogs made with ‘the best sausages ever’!
