The Bostock Singers wish to recruit an accompanist from Sept 2024

We are a 60+ strong mixed voice choir (SATB) based in Hartford, near Northwich in Cheshire. Founded in 2009, our membership is drawn from all over Cheshire, from Widnes in the north to Crewe in the south. We meet for rehearsals on Tuesdays (term time only) from 7.00-9.0pm at the Grange junior school on Beechwood avenue, Hartford, where we indulge in high quality music making, whilst having fun.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic accompanist who will support not only the choir, but also our musical director, Nicola Howbrigg, as she progresses the choir both musically and vocally. A successful candidate would not only be required to play for rehearsals, but also for concerts and competitions. There is also an expectation that they would lead sectional rehearsals when required.

The Bostock Singers have grown greatly in numbers over the past 3 years. We are an ambitious choir, driven by high standards, laughter and vocal excellence. Competitive festivals are important to us and are a key part of our performances. Anybody applying for this role would need to be willing to support this ethos and be available to accompany at such events.

Auditions will take place on either Tuesday 18th or Tuesday 25th June. Applicants must be available to audition on one of these dates.
